It also has high mechanical properties at high temperatures. Inconel601 (unsn06601) nickel-based alloy has high high temperature strength, excellent oxidation resistance, carburization resistance and sulfur resistance. Especially in an environment where temperature changes rapidly and repeated oxidation, it has excellent anti-peeling properties. Therefore, it is widely used in various heat treatment furnace components, diesel vehicle glow plug components, etc.

Processing heat treatment of inconel601 (n06601) nickel-based alloy

Inconel601 (unsn06601) nickel-based alloy is not a precipitated hardening alloy, so it cannot be aged hardened by heat treatment. When the temperature reaches 900℃ after cold processing, the material will soften. If the material requires high temperature strength, it is recommended to perform solid solution heat treatment at 1100 to 1200℃. At this time, the cooling method is water cooling, and air cooling can also be used according to the thickness of the plate. However, in order to avoid carbide precipitation, it is recommended to cool it as soon as possible within the range of 500 to 800°C.

Processing properties of nickel-based alloys inconel601 (n06601)

Inconel601 (unsn06601) nickel-based alloy is easy to heat-process. The heating temperature is 1150-1200℃, and the thermal processing temperature is 1050-1200℃. Simple processing can be performed below 850°C. Cracking will occur within the temperature range of 650 to 850℃. Please avoid this temperature range during processing. To avoid carbide precipitation, it is recommended to increase the cooling speed within the range of 500 to 800°C. The 601 alloy has excellent cold working properties and can be processed into SUS310S and 800 alloys.
