Overview of Hastelloy C-4 (n06455) Hastelloy
Hastelloy is a low-carbon nickel-molybdenum chromium alloy. The main difference between nirofer6616hmo and other alloys with similar chemical compositions in the early development is the low content of carbon, silicon, iron and tungsten. The chemical composition makes it have good stability at 650-1040°C, which improves the ability to resist intergranular corrosion. Under appropriate manufacturing conditions, the sensitivity of edge corrosion and corrosion of the weld heat-affected zone can be avoided.
Hastelloy C-4 (n06455) alloy characteristics
(1) It has excellent corrosion resistance for most corrosive media, especially in the reduction state.
(2) Excellent local corrosion resistance of halides.

Mechanical properties of Hastelloy C-4 (n06455) Hastelloy
The minimum value is the data measured longitudinally and transversely in the sample at a specified size (solution treatment state). The product performance of special specifications and special materials can be customized according to customer requirements.
Hastelloy C-4: iso-v notch test: average value ≥120J/cm² (room temperature), ≥120J/cm² (-196℃).
The structure of Hastelloy C-4 (n06455)
Hastelloy C-4 has a face-centered cubic lattice structure, and its chemical composition ensures metallographic stability and sensitivity.
Corrosion resistance of Hastelloy C-4 (n06455) Hastelloy
The high molybdenum chromium content makes Hastelloy C-4 alloy resistant to various chemical media (such as phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, chlorine, organic or inorganic chlorine-containing media). Due to the high nickel content, Hastelloy C-4 can effectively resist stress corrosion and cracking caused by chlorine and even hot chloride solutions.
Time temperature sensitization curve (carbon content 0.008%, refer to ASTM G28 method a).
