Overview of GH3030 Nickel-based High Temperature Alloy
GH3030 is an early developed 80ni-20cr solid solution reinforced high-temperature alloy with simple chemical composition, good thermal strength and high plasticity below 800℃, and good oxidation resistance, thermal fatigue, cold stamping and welding process performance. The alloy after solid solution treatment is single-phase austenite, and the structure is stable during use. The main products are cold-rolled plates, and they can also supply special profiles such as bars, rings, wires, and pipes. Mainly used for turbine engine combustion chamber components that operate below 800°C and other high-temperature components that require oxidation resistance below 1100°C but have a smaller load.

According to the standards of hot-rolled plates, cold-rolled thin plates, cold-rolled strips, pipes, wires and cold-drawn wires for cold heading, ω (FE) ≤1.00%, ω (P) ≤0.015%, ω (s) ≤0.010%, ω (PB) ≤0.001%, and ω (Cu) ≤0.007%.
GH3030 heat treatment system: the solution temperature is 980~1020℃, and the cooling methods are hot-rolled plates, cold-rolled plates, ring blanks, air-cooled wires and cold-drawn rods, water-cooled or air-cooled cold headings, and water-cooled pipes.
GH3030 varieties, specifications and supply conditions: Deformed products of various specifications can be produced, and shipped without heat treatment; hot-rolled plates, cold-rolled plates, and pipes are supplied after solid solution and pickling; welding wires are delivered in the pallet or semi-hard state by cold drawing, solid solution and pickling; cold-heading wires are polished or pulled in the form of plates or straight strips or solid solution straight strips in the form of solid solution and pickling states; conveying pipelines in the solid solution and pickling states; cold-drawn rods are delivered in the annealing, annealing and pickling states, annealing and polishing or cold drawing.
GH3030 smelting casting process: arc furnace smelting or arc furnace smelting plus electroslag remelting or vacuum arc remelting, non-vacuum induction furnace smelting or vacuum arc furnace remelting or vacuum dual-connection process.
Use and special requirements of GH3030: This alloy has been tested on aircraft engines for a long time and is mainly used for combustion chambers and afterburners, as well as the case mounting edges and other parts.

GH3030 alloy metallographic structure: After solid solution treatment at 1000°C, the alloy is a single-phase austenite structure, containing a small amount of tic and Ti (CN).
GH3030 Process Performance and Requirements
The results show that the alloy has good ductility. The forging heating temperature is 1180℃, and the final forging temperature is 900℃.
The average grain size of the alloy is closely related to the degree of deformation and the final forging temperature.
After heat treatment, the oxide scale on the surface of the part can be removed by blowing sand or acid washing.
