Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy containing tungsten, and its silicon and carbon content is very low.

Hastelloy (N10276, 2.4819)
The high content of molybdenum and chromium makes Hastelloy 276 resistant to the erosion of various chemical media, including reducing media such as phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, chlorine, organic or inorganic chlorine-containing media. Due to the high content of nickel, Hastello 276 can effectively resist stress corrosion cracking caused by chlorine, and even hot chlorine solutions.

● Hastello-276 (N10276)
(1) HastelloyC-276 alloy can be manufactured and processed using traditional production processes.
(2) Always keep the workpiece clean and pollution-free before and during the heat treatment.
(3) The sensitization sensitivity of the alloy when it cools rapidly at 1000℃~600℃ should be fully considered.
(4) Do not contact low-melting metals such as sulfur, phosphorus, and lead during heat treatment. Otherwise, the performance of the alloy will be damaged. Pay attention to removing dirt, such as marking paint, temperature indicator paint, colored crayons, lubricating oil, fuel, etc.
(5) The lower the sulfur content of the fuel, the better. The sulfur content of natural gas should be less than 0.1%, and the sulfur content of heavy oil should be less than 0.5%.
(6) It is advisable to use neutral to slightly oxidize the furnace gas. It is necessary to avoid fluctuating between oxidation and reduction. The heating flame cannot directly burn on the workpiece.
●Hast-276 (N10276) alloy heating
Workpieces should always be kept clean and contaminated free before and during heat treatment. Do not contact low-melting metals such as sulfur, phosphorus, and lead during heat treatment. Otherwise, Nicrofer6616hMo alloy will become brittle. Pay attention to removing dirt, such as marking paint, temperature indicator paint, crayons, lubricating oil, fuel, etc. The lower the sulfur content in the fuel, the better; the sulfur content in natural gas should be less than 0.1%, and the sulfur content in heavy oil should be less than 0.5%. Electric furnace heating is a better choice because the electric furnace can accurately control the furnace temperature and clean the furnace gas. If the gas furnace gas is pure enough, you can also choose. The furnace gas of the heating furnace should be neutral to micro-reduction. The furnace gas should be avoided from fluctuating between oxidation and reduction. The heating flame cannot directly burn on the workpiece.
●Hastello-276 (N10276) alloy heat treatment
(1) The heat treatment temperature range of HastelloyC-276 is 1200℃~950℃, and the cooling method is water-cooling or rapid air-cooling.
(2) In order to ensure the corrosion resistance of the best, heat treatment should be carried out after heat treatment, and the workpiece should be directly added to the heat treatment furnace.
●Hastellometer c -276 (N10276) alloy cold processing
(1) The work hardening rate of Hastelloy-276 is higher than that of austenitic stainless steel, so it is necessary to choose processing equipment. The workpiece should be in a solid solution heat treatment state, and intermediate annealing should be provided in the cold rolling process.
(2) If the cold rolling deformation is greater than 15%, the workpiece needs to undergo secondary solid solution treatment.
●Hastello-276 (N10276) alloy heat treatment
(1) The solution treatment temperature range of Hastello-276 is 1100℃~1160℃.
(2) The cooling method is water quenching. Materials with thickness less than 1.5mm can also be used for rapid air cooling. If air-cooling is used, it should be cooled from 1000℃ to 600℃ within 2 minutes.
(3) During the heat treatment process, the workpiece must be kept clean.
●Hastellometer c -276 (N10276) alloy surface removal
(1) The surface oxide layer and welding slag around hasstelloyC-276 have stronger adhesion than stainless steel. It is recommended to use fine-grained belts or fine-grained grinding wheels for grinding.
(2) Before washing with HNO3/HF mixed acid, the oxide film must be sandblasted or crushed.
Processing of Hastelloy-276 (N10276) alloy: Because it is very sensitive to work hardening, it is recommended to use low cutting speed and heavy cutting tools to make it easy to process.
